  • A few slices of bread
  • 1 ripe tomato
  • 2 slices of ham 
  • Green pesto
  • Green olives
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Fresh basil
  • 10 black olives (to accompany)

Preparing the tomato toast :

  • Cut the tomato in half and grate to obtain a pulp.
  • Season the tomato pulp with a pinch of salt, pepper and a drizzle of olive oil.
  • Lightly toast the slices of bread until golden and crisp.
  • Spread the tomato pulp over half the slices of toast.

 

Preparing the pesto toast : 

  • Spread the green pesto on the lightly toasted slices of bread
  • Place a slice of ham on each remaining slice of bread.
  • Decorate with a green olive on each slice of bread with ham.
  • Add a basil leaf to each slice of bread, if desired.
